The role you don't wanna miss
The team (playing in the 3rd division) consists of 15 really nice girls aged 16 to 18, most of whom have been playing soccer together for years. The atmosphere is good and most of them faithfully attend both weekday practices (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and the game on Saturday.
Last year, for the first time, the team was coached by a professional, certified coach. As a result, the girls have made enormous progress both as a team and individually. Unfortunately, this trainer recently stopped and we are now looking for an enthusiastic successor who can continue this line.
In this role you will get the leeway to use all your creativity and experience to lift the team to a higher level (technical, tactical and conditional). This impulse is necessary to grow together and just as important, to have (even) more fun with the game.
What we are looking for
A sympathetic soccer coach, with the knowledge and skills to convey the fun in soccer and make the players better both individually and as a team. And if you are a woman? Then we like you even more ;-)
Furthermore…
- You are available for at least 1, but preferably 2 trainings a week;
- You have good communication skills, are committed and driven;
- Preferably you are in possession of a trainers diploma or willing to get one;
- You are aware that you are a role model and act accordingly;
- Good soccer skills of your own is a plus.
We have to offer
The opportunity to play an important role in the (soccer) life of a group of fun teenage girls. You get a lot of freedom to fulfill the role in your own way and you will get all the support of a second (assistant) trainer and the team leader. And if you are willing to provide at least 2 trainings a week, a volunteer allowance is available and the club will pay for your training education (if this is where your ambition lies).
SDW – Sterk Door Wilskracht (Strong Through Willpower)
SDW exists for 116 years and is located in Amsterdam Nieuw-West near Sloterdijk station. Of the approximately 700 (youth) members, more than 130 girls play soccer in the girls division. Members come from all parts of Nieuw-West and West and everyone is welcome. The membership fee is low and can also be paid through the Jeugdfonds or through a City Pass. This gives the club an important function for the neighborhood: everyone can come and play soccer and exercise together with others. More information about the club can be found at www.ascsdw.nl
